This book was born in the heart of a man who loved his mother and did not want her to suffer an agonizing cancer death.
This man was a nurse and he knew all too well how terrible and terrifying a cancer death could be. He could not bear even the thought of his mother having to endure such a painful passing.
He prayed that he would find a way to help her.
In an unforgettable John Robbins book, he learned the story of Rene Caisse, and the quest of his life began. He could not believe that a harmless Indian herbal decoction could genuinely help terminal cancer patients, so he set out to prove that the story was nothing but a fairy tale. He found out that the story was absolutely true.
His mother decided to take Rene's Essiac tea and she enjoyed an excellent quality of life in her last months on earth.
He came to believe that the unbelievable story of Rene Caisse was a story that would never go away, and he wrote a book about his long journey to the truth.
The Story Behind the Story
To be honest, when I started my research into Rene Caisse, I felt quite certain that I would prove the story was simply not true. The more research I did, however, the more I came to realize that this amazing story was undeniably and absolutely true.
I obtained and read everything I could find about the life and times of Rene Caisse. I traveled to Bracebridge, in Ontario, Canada and visited the Rene Caisse Memorial Room, where I saw with my own eyes visible proof of Rene’s accomplishments. I obtained articles from the local newspaper. I saw the old British Lion Hotel, which was leased to Rene by the town of Bracebridge for her cancer clinic. Rene opened a cancer clinic in 1935, and treated hundreds of dying cancer patients for seven years, accepting no fees. Eventually, however, the medical authorities of the day closed her down for good. I had the good fortune to meet Mary McPherson, one of Rene’s best friends, and I spoke with her for over four hours. I spoke face-to-face with a woman who was told to go home and die in 1978. Her husband found Rene Caisse and this woman explained how Essiac saved her life.
Before she died in 1978, Rene Caisse genuinely and significantly helped thousands afflicted with terminal cancer. According to an article published in a national and reputable Canadian magazine in the summer of 1977, many of the victims actually presented in a dying state and months later were back on the farm working. In many cases, according to the story, lives were actually saved.
My Family’s Personal Experience with Essiac
My Mom decided to take Essiac and it helped her immensely. She had a peaceful passing and enjoyed a wonderful quality of life right up until almost the very end. This alone has rewarded me abundantly for all the hard work and effort I put forth to find out the truth about Rene Caisse and her Essiac remedy for cancer. I believe that Rene’s discovery helped my sister live for eleven years after a diagnosis of Stage III breast cancer, with no chemotherapy or radiation.
